word poem:\\scrim

scrim: a canvas or cotton fabric used in curtains, building or industry; a an opaque theater curtain

it was my dream, see
train full of strangers
going anywhere
piercing gong sound, train screeches to dead-stop

people swarm through a clogged exit, grumpy, complaining
as usual about safety measures
one woman tries to depart through a canvas scrim
(the coach becomes a cattle car for an instant)
on the wrong side
opposite parallel tracks, train coming

I grab, spin her around,
push her towards refuge
she was looking for the coffee car, she said.

And what to make of it?
