Dream of what I’m not

I’m deliciously thin
and wearing an unlikely outfit:
tailored white shirt, silky textured with cuffs and pointy collar
draped softly over black leggings
atop pink ankle-strap pumps.

I’m running late for a meeting,
fussing with the shoe-strap,
public and polished
and unlike me altogether.
